在谈到专业时，玛利亚告诉记者:“我获得了护理学学士学位和健康人类学硕士学位。之后，我还受到过护理学、热带医学和国际卫生工作的培训。我还曾在尼泊尔、印度、南苏丹、格陵兰、瑞典和丹麦等多个国家和地区担任护理经理、项目经理和顾问。”

对于眼前的新工作、新岗位，她满脸堆笑地说：“我特别高兴能有机会来上海，在这里我感受到了热烈的欢迎，对此感到非常高兴，也有点愧不敢当。我期待未来三年成为颐和苑家庭的一份子，并与大家共同工作，使丹麦的价值观和质量标准成为颐和苑不可或缺的一部分。”

The Deputy
General Manager, Marie is also a nice lady. She said, “ I am from Denmark and I
am 40 years old. In Denmark I live in Copenhagen, which is the capital City. I
have one daughter who is 16 years old. Her name is Thyra and she will be
joining me to live here in Jinshan from august on.”

When it comes to
education, Marie said, “My educational background is a bachelor of nursing, and
a masters degree in health anthropology. I also have additional training in nursing
science, tropical medicine and international health work. I have worked as a
nursing manager, project manager and consultant in several countries, including
Nepal, India, South Sudan, Greenland, Sweden and Denmark.”

As for the new
job, new position, Marie smiled, “I am very pleased to be given the opportunity
to be here in Shanghai now, and I am moved and humbled by the warm welcome I
have received. I am looking forward to being a part of the Yi Heyuan family for
the next three years, and to work together with the staff to make the danish
values and quality standards an even more integrated part of Yi Heyuan.”

在进行了一番自我介绍、了解后，记者与两位总经理的心灵沟通进入了深一层次。

After a self introduction,
the spiritual communication between journalist and two general managers has
entered a deeper level.

记者：这段时间你们对颐和苑的最大感受是什么？和丹麦有什么共同点又有什么不同？

Journalist: The
first impression Yi Heyuan presents to you? Comparison between here and Denmark

艾娃：这段时间，对颐和苑的印象非常深刻，苑里环境优美，长者们精神面貌都很好，无论身体上、心理上都健康积极乐观；苑里的活动丰富多彩，我看到养护院的老人们也有来参加书画兴趣小组，他们的社交意识很强。这里的老人们已经意识到精神乐观影响身体健康，这是很重要的；我发现苑里的老人们还组织了志愿者团队，为养护院和护理院的老人提供服务，这也是自我价值的一种体现，我很敬佩他们；员工们的脸上总是面带微笑，我喜欢和年轻人一起工作，他们充满了活力。

Eva: “I am very
impressed of what I have seen in Yi Heyuan until now. The environment is
beautiful, the elderly people have a good mental outlook, both physically and
mentally healthy and optimistic; the activities are so rich, I see some
residents from nursing homes also participate in the calligraphy and painting
activity groups, and their social awareness is very strong. It is important for
the residents to realize that mental optimism affects health. I find that the
residents also organize volunteer teams to serve the residents in the nursing
homes and care hospital. It is also a manifestation of self value. I admire
them. The faces of the staffs are always smiling and I like to work together
with young people, they are full of energy.”

在丹麦，因为是政府承担养老费用，所以没有那么好的环境，那里的老人年纪也比较大，自理能力会低一些，活动水平也有些不同；政府会经常针对护工组织很多培训，使他们受到一定的教育，工资收入水平也与其他职业差别不大。丹麦养老有着悠久的的历史和传统，而在中国，采用这样的居家养老和机构养老相结合的方式才刚刚开始。中国的文化和丹麦有着明显的不同，我们会在充分尊重中国文化的同时，寻找共同点，并引入丹麦式养老理念，使得两者平衡发展，让颐和苑变得更好。

“In Denmark, the
danish government are paying for the elderly service and therefore we cannot
afford such nice environment and the elderly are lower functioned, so their
activity level is different from here. The activities are structured in a
different way. The government in Denmark organize normal training for care
workers, to improve their education, and the difference of salary level of care
workers and other position is not big.”

“In Denmark we
have a long history and tradition of institutionalized elderly care and I
understand that it is just beginning in China. Obviously the culture in China
is different from Denmark. One of my focuses is to make sure that we balance
the DDH values and methods in elderly care with great respect for the Chinese
culture.” 

Journalist:The
deepest feeling of elderly service working, the most valuable ideas in this
field?

   艾娃：我对这份养老服务事业充满激情。我认为，一个人无论是什么状态下，他都有权得到真正的善意和真诚的关怀，而给他提供服务的人首先要公正、平等地对待他。作为一个个体，他们都是有价值的，都是值得尊重的。他们都有权追求有意义的日常生活，这些点点滴滴，能给老人带来幸福的夕阳生活。我觉得每个人都应该把每一天都当成生命的最后一天度过，尽情享受每一天。

Eva: “I have a
deep passion for elderly service. I believe that when a person is in any kind
of need they have the right to have really good and heartfelt care from a
person who’s first and most
important job is to be an equal fellow man to this other person. For any individual,
they have their values and should be respected. I also think that all human
beings have the right to live what for them, as an individual human being, is a
meaningful daily life. It’s an important part of a long and happy life. I think everyone should Take
every day as the last day of your life, and enjoy every day. “

艾娃和玛利亚在滔滔不绝的相互比照中，她俩都导出了一个共同的心声：我们要在颐和苑与丹麦之间构建一座“桥梁”，努力把丹麦“幸福养老”的元素通过培训指导，融入到颐和苑的养老、护理工作中去。我们要像对待自己家人一样，对待颐和苑里的每一位老人。

In both Eva and
Marie’s talk, both of them have derived a common voice: we should build a
"bridge" between Yihe yuan and Denmark, and try to integrate the
elements of "happy elderly life" in Denmark into Yihe yuan. We should
treat every resident just like our family member.

颐和苑作为一家政府扶持的非营利性的养老机构，早在三年前开业之初，就联合丹麦著名养老结构——执事家园进行合作管理，引入世界先进的养老理念和养老方式，把传统养老与机构养老进行有机的结合。

作为合作管理方——丹麦执事家园，在颐和苑尚在筹建阶段，他们就先后派出了一直在丹麦从事养老中心工作、并具有专业护理知识的乌拉女士（ULLA)和具有社会人类学家身份、从1983年开始就从事老年护理、教育等项工作的亨利等相关人员，来到颐和苑，采用严苛的国际标准，对颐和苑进行日常的全面管理、全员培训，历经三年，取得了显著成效。

Yi Heyuan, is a
non-profit elderly service center, supported by the government. Since the
opening 3 years ago, it has started the cooperation with DDH, a famous elderly
service institute introducing world famous advanced values and methods as well
as combining the traditional elderly care and institutional elderly care.

As a cooperative
management party-- DDH, at the beginning, has sent a lot of professional people
such as ULLA( a lady engaged in elderly service in Denmark and with
professional health care knowledge) and Henrik (a social anthropologist,
engaged in elderly nursing and education since 1983) to Yi Heyuan to implement
international standards and daily comprehensive management and training for all
staff. After 3 years, it has achieved remarkable achievements.

接下来，在颐和苑未来的三年，新来的这两位总经理对颐和苑又有什么打算和规划呢？记者最后问道

The journalist
asked, for the future 3 years, is there any plan or schedule for the 2 General
managers in Yi Heyuan.

“培训是永无止境的，融入丹麦养老理念也是永无止境的。”副总经理玛利亚说，“在颐和苑未来三年，我们首先要继续加强组织员工培训，提高卫生、健康、护理质量标准，这也是丹麦DDH的一部分；在培训的同时，对员工逐渐灌输、融入丹麦理念。丹麦理念，不仅仅是针对养老院，更是养护院和护理院要做的事情，要把长者当成自己的家人一般。 ”

“Training will
never stop, and the integration of Danish values in elderly care is endless.”
Marie said, “In the next 3 years, firstly, we will continue strengthening the
training on staff, to improve the hygiene, health care quality standard, which
is part of DDH; Meanwhile, we will continue to implement the Danish values, not
only for Senior house, but also in nursing homes and care hospital, to treat
residents as our family members.”

总经理艾娃接着说：“我们俩正在学习中文，学习中国文化，我们要更好地融入这里，即使事情已经是完美的，我们也总是尽力想让它变得更好，颐和苑二期在几年后就会开放，还有很多事情要准备，我们将充分利用既有的经验和长者们的建议，让这个伟大的地方越来越好。”

Eva continued, “We
are learning Chinese and Chinese culture, we will try to be part of here. Even
things are perfect, we will try our best to make it better. The phase 2 will
open in 2 years, we still have a lot to prepare. Our expectations are to work
closely together with of course managers and staff members - but also the
residents - on how to keep improving this great place.”

艾娃情不自禁地对记者说：“在颐和苑，我感到很自豪，同样也有点愧不敢当。特别感激这里每个人给予我隆重的、热烈的欢迎。很期待在接下去的3年里，我会成为颐和苑这个大家庭里的一份子，我会竭尽所能，不辜负周理事长以及Emil唐对我的信任。”她又说，“我相信每个人都有责任尽自己最大努力去做各种事情，发掘自己的最大潜能。我很珍惜也对我所遇到的人充满好奇，对他们会给予我的尊重。我认为，每个人的思想、见解，都应有机会被听到，被人关注到。最后，我想说在我的生命中，自由是一个关键词，自由地做我自己，做我爱做的事情。”
